How FEM enhances our bushing development process

HSP integrates advanced Finite Element Method (FEM) technology throughout their bushing development process, utilizing comprehensive seismic analysis including natural frequency searches, response spectrum analysis, and dynamic calculations. Through modal FEM calculations, the company determines critical frequencies that could generate maximum earthquake vibrations, then simulates seismic loads using IEEE 693 and IEC 61463 standards.

Additionally, HSP performs time-dependent dynamic calculations to simulate real earthquake scenarios second by second. This virtual testing approach enables them to optimize product quality and ensure superior seismic resistance before physical prototyping, delivering enhanced reliability for critical infrastructure applications worldwide while reducing development time and costs.
