As a technology leader in high-voltage bushings, HSP is driving the energy transition forward. Now we are taking the logical next step – expanding our North American presence with HSP US in Charlotte, North Carolina, the first U.S.-based production site for the Trench Group. This marks an important milestone: local manufacturing means faster delivery, closer collaboration, and stronger support for domestic supply chains and job creation.

The new production site in Charlotte will be built on a spacious area and create jobs for skilled professionals. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the facility will meet the growing demands of the North American energy market better than ever before.

With this new plant, projects across North America can be executed faster and more efficiently. It opens completely new opportunities to position ourselves both commercially and technologically – locally, without detours.

HSP combines decades of experience with innovative research and development. Four pillars make us a trusted partner for critical energy infrastructure projects worldwide. With the new facility, we are bringing these strengths directly to the North American market.

With operations starting in early 2026, the facility will manufacture dry-type bushings (RIS/RIP) for the North American market, with voltage levels up to 800 kV. The plant will feature full vertical integration and will house one of the most advanced and powerful high-voltage test laboratories in
the region.
